This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Tiqra platform and all related services provided by Tiqra Technologies ("Tiqra," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.
The purpose of this policy is to protect the security, integrity, and availability of the Service for all users, and to ensure that the Service is used in a responsible, lawful, and ethical manner.
1. Overview
Tiqra provides a business management platform used by organizations worldwide for invoicing, point-of-sale, CRM, inventory management, bookings, and related business operations. We expect all users to use the Service responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
This AUP applies to all users, including account owners, authorized users, administrators, and any other individuals who access the Service through your account. You are responsible for ensuring that all users of your account comply with this policy.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Service for any of the following purposes:
2.1 Illegal Activities
- Conducting or facilitating any activity that violates local, national, or international law.
- Processing transactions involving illegal goods or services, including controlled substances, counterfeit products, or stolen property.
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, or any activity that facilitates financial crime.
- Operating unlicensed financial services, gambling operations, or other regulated activities without proper authorization.
- Evading sanctions or export controls imposed by any applicable jurisdiction.
2.2 Fraudulent Activities
- Creating fraudulent invoices, receipts, or financial documents.
- Misrepresenting your identity, business, or the nature of your transactions.
- Using the Service to perpetrate scams, phishing schemes, or other deceptive practices.
- Manipulating financial records, inventory data, or other business information for fraudulent purposes.
- Creating fake customer accounts, reviews, or testimonials.
2.3 Harmful Content
- Uploading, transmitting, or storing content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Distributing content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Storing or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content that exploits minors in any way.
- Uploading content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets.
3. Content Standards
All content you create, upload, or store through the Service must comply with the following standards:
- Content must be accurate and not misleading in any material respect.
- Content must not infringe on the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
- Business information (company names, addresses, tax identifiers) must be genuine and verifiable.
- Financial documents (invoices, quotes, receipts) must accurately reflect real transactions.
- Customer data stored in the Service must be collected and processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
4. System Abuse
You may not engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service:
- Excessive Load: Generating unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure, including automated scripts, bots, or crawlers that exceed normal usage patterns.
- Rate Limit Evasion: Attempting to bypass or circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or other restrictions imposed by the Service.
- Resource Abuse: Using the Service in a manner that degrades the experience for other users, such as consuming excessive storage, bandwidth, or processing resources.
- Interference: Interfering with the normal operation of the Service, including overloading, flooding, or crashing the platform.
- Circumvention: Attempting to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security feature, access control, or usage limitation of the Service.
- Scraping: Using automated tools to scrape, extract, or harvest data from the Service without our express written consent.
- Account Abuse: Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, exploit free trials, or evade enforcement actions.
5. Security Violations
The following security-related activities are strictly prohibited:
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to access accounts, data, systems, or networks without authorization, including using another user's credentials without their explicit consent.
- Vulnerability Exploitation: Exploiting any vulnerability in the Service for any purpose other than responsible disclosure to our security team.
- Malware Distribution: Uploading, transmitting, or distributing viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software through the Service.
- Network Attacks: Conducting denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, or any other form of network attack against the Service or its infrastructure.
- Data Interception: Intercepting, monitoring, or tampering with data transmitted to or from the Service without authorization.
- Reverse Engineering: Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service.
If you discover a security vulnerability, we encourage responsible disclosure. Please report vulnerabilities to admin@tiqra.io. We will not take legal action against researchers who discover and report vulnerabilities in good faith and in accordance with our responsible disclosure guidelines.
6. Email & Messaging
If you use the Service to send emails, SMS messages, or other communications (e.g., invoices, reminders, marketing messages), you must comply with the following:
- All communications must comply with applicable anti-spam laws, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CASL.
- You must have appropriate consent from recipients before sending commercial communications.
- All commercial messages must include a clear and functional unsubscribe mechanism.
- Messages must accurately identify the sender and must not contain misleading header information or subject lines.
- You may not use the Service to send bulk unsolicited messages (spam).
- You must honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
7. API Usage
If you access the Service through our API, the following additional rules apply:
- Rate Limits: You must respect all documented API rate limits. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary or permanent API access restrictions.
- Authentication: API keys and tokens must be kept confidential and must not be shared publicly or embedded in client-side code.
- Fair Use: API usage must be proportionate to your subscription plan. Excessive API calls that are disproportionate to your plan tier may be throttled or blocked.
- Data Minimization: You should only request and store the data you need. Do not cache or replicate large amounts of data from the Service unnecessarily.
- Attribution: When displaying data from Tiqra in external applications, you must comply with any attribution requirements specified in the API documentation.
8. Legal Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to:
- Data Protection: GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, and other applicable data protection and privacy laws.
- Financial Regulations: Applicable tax laws, invoicing requirements, and financial reporting obligations.
- Consumer Protection: Laws governing fair business practices, consumer rights, and advertising standards.
- Industry Standards: PCI-DSS compliance for payment card handling, HIPAA for healthcare data (if applicable), and other relevant industry standards.
- Export Controls: Applicable export control and sanctions regulations.
9. Monitoring & Enforcement
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor the use of the Service for compliance with this AUP. Monitoring may include automated systems that detect unusual patterns, security threats, or policy violations.
We may investigate any reported or suspected violation of this AUP and take appropriate action, including but not limited to the actions described in Section 10 below. We cooperate with law enforcement authorities and regulatory bodies in investigating violations of applicable laws.
10. Enforcement Actions
If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity and nature of the violation:
- Warning: A written warning identifying the violation and requesting that you cease the prohibited activity.
- Content Removal: Removal of content that violates this policy.
- Feature Restriction: Temporary or permanent restriction of specific features or functionality.
- Account Suspension: Temporary suspension of your account while we investigate the violation. During suspension, your data will be preserved but you will not have access to the Service.
- Account Termination: Permanent termination of your account for severe or repeated violations. In cases of account termination for AUP violations, refunds may not be available.
- Legal Action: Pursuing civil or criminal legal remedies, including reporting illegal activity to law enforcement authorities.
Where feasible, we will notify you of the violation and provide an opportunity to address the issue before taking enforcement action. However, we reserve the right to take immediate action without notice in cases involving illegal activity, security threats, or imminent harm to other users.
11. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any activity that violates this AUP, please report it to us immediately. You can report violations through the following channels:

- In-App: Use the "Report" feature available within the Service.
- Security Issues: For security vulnerabilities or incidents, email admin@tiqra.io with "Security Report" in the subject line.
When reporting a violation, please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, the account or user involved (if known), and any supporting evidence. All reports will be treated confidentially, and we will not disclose the identity of the reporter except as required by law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to address new types of abuse, reflect changes in our Service, or comply with legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy on our website with a new effective date and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification.
Your continued use of the Service after the updated AUP becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised AUP, you must stop using the Service.
